November saw us conclude our participation in 2024's selection of hospitality events with a visit to theRESTAURANT Leadership x FoodTreX 2024 (theRES24) – an exciting way to end the season on a high note!
FutureLog Joins theRES24: Exploring Technology’s Role in Vietnam’s Gastronomy Vision
Hosted at Van Lang University in Ho Chi Minh City, the event brought together representatives from ASEAN member states to support Vietnam’s ambitious vision of becoming the “Gastronomy Capital of the World” by 2030, with keynotes highlighting the region’s unique position as a hub of diverse cultures, cuisines, and flourishing tourism - including an introduction to the initiative from Mr. Minh Chu, Founder and CEO of VFBE (Vietnam Food and Beverage Ecosystem).
One of the many event highlights was the panel discussion “Maximizing the Potential of Technology to Boost Productivity & Added Value.” Our own Mr. Thomas Phu Tran joined moderator Mr. Matt Tran and panelists Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Mr. Nguyen Chi Anh Khoa, Mr. Dao Quang Thuan, and Mr. David Kaye to explore strategies that preserve Vietnam’s unique culinary heritage while embracing technology to help it thrive - focusing on digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation in the restaurant industry.
